The Sourcing Team is a promotional merchandise company based in London. Working with some of the biggest brands of the world, they offer a consultative approach and have a reputation for sourcing things that no other company can.

The Challenge

With large clients coming to them to source anything from the simple to the extraordinary, the Sourcing Team was proud to promise that if it existed, they would find it. The competitors all offered the same generic products, so the Sourcing Team was leading the way in the marketplace but didn’t have the brand to prove it.

Blending in with the uninspiring competitors, the brand needed to match what they could offer and look like the niche supplier they had grown to be. Rather than compromising on price, the company wanted to be able to charge a premium for better-designed products and their bespoke offer. They were also looking for an opportunity to develop their own products to sell.

The Difference

The Engine Room gave the company a new brand that really stood out. Keeping the original name that their customers had grown so familiar with, the name ‘The Sourcing Team’ was also used as part of the marketing. Lists of the copious amounts of products they could source were applied between the words of the brand name to portray their key message.

The Sourcing Team means many things to many people, so the new identity was flexible to appeal to the different audiences. The bold pink colour scheme cannot be ignored and represents their confident ability to stay at the top of their game. The identity included a full rebrand of the website and stationery, so they were well-equipped with the tools to market themselves.

The company’s direct relationship with factories means whatever a customer is looking for, they will find it. The new brand opened the door to bigger markets and gave them the established business feel they needed to approach bigger agencies. The Engine Room ensured The Sourcing Team not only helped its customers stand out, but also really stood out itself over and above any of the competition.
