In April, The Engine Room supported the ‘Pedal4Pounds 5’ charity event, hosted by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and HTAFC, by supplying the cyclists with the design for their helmets. We worked with our clients over at Orchard Energy, who not only took part by joining the 300+ cyclists on their four day ride, but sponsored the event by providing the helmets for everyone involved.
The annual charity cycle ride is in aid of the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign, which raises money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Huddersfield Football Club’s Academy. The 250-mile ride, which started at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, saw over 300 participants cycle over four days. They called at Cambridge, Leicester and Doncaster before ending at Town’s final home game against Leicester City on Saturday, April 26th.
This year, organisers are hoping it has taken the campaign over the £1m raised mark and heading for over £1.1million raised since the start of the campaign five years ago. A huge congratulations to everyone who took part. We’re delighted to be involved in such a great local cause.
