Bootstring offers early or pre-start companies an opportunity to compete to access up to £30,000 worth of services provided by our multi award-winning team. Our designers, strategic thinkers, photographers, web developers and copywriters will all be at hand to help with the branding and marketing of the winning business. We are using the initiative to help businesses who wouldn’t usually have the funds to work with larger businesses. In return, instead of an upfront fee, The Engine Room asks for a minor equity investment in the business. We will deliver up to £30,000 of strategic brand insight and brand development work, which is vital for a business as it begins to develop. We wish to focus on helping local start-up businesses in Yorkshire in particular.

We will be looking for businesses that stand out from others through innovative and new ideas. The Engine Room will be judging candidates on the feasibility and longevity of their business plan. If chosen, our agency will work with the start-up business to create a brand that will firmly position them in their market, making sure they differentiate and stand head and shoulders above the competition. This unique and exciting opportunity will create a brand that would usually only be accessible by a more established firm.
